While standing in front of a section of a mural of Diego Rivera at MOMA, I mused to my friend Michelle how fun it would be to see my cyclists flying between the Pneumatic Drillers. The result is this piece. It is both a homage to the great Mexican muralist (note the indigenous designs on the cyclists) and a reflection on the role most cyclists perform as physical laborers and the temptations of pharmaceuticals.
Original art measures 30″ x 40″ and is composed of giftwrap, urethane and acrylic on canvas.
